My family has recently started a new business. We have opened a Guest house, named "Villa Ema", situated in the heart of the mountain resort Panichiste. The beautiful evergreen coniferous forests of Rila Mountain present excellent opportunities for various types of tourism and sports activities. The area offers a number of roads and trails for hiking, biking or horseback riding. There are three s
mall ski slopes – Azhdera and Bekyara equipped with 400 -meter ski lifts, and in the central part of the resort there is an easier track and lift for beginners,especially for children. The ski slopes along the 2-kilometers long chair lift to the Rila Lakes and the almost kilometer long drag-lift above it offer very good conditions for skiing and snowboarding for the more advanced. The two facilities together create the opportunity for a very interesting and varied continuous ski-run with a total length of about 4.5 km. From "Villa Ema" using a 5 km completely renovated road you can reach the chair lift to the Seven Rila lakes. While there you can visit the less known Urdini Lakes. Nearby is also the nature reserve Skakavitsa with the eponymous waterfall. Other sights one can visit while staying in the area are the Rila monastery, part of UNESCO world heritage;
the Mineral baths and the hottest gesir hotspring in this part of Europe in Sapareva banya;
the Waterfalls in Ovchartsi, the peak Malyovitsa and the peak Musala which is the highest on the Balkan Peninsula with its 2925m. Panichishte offers great possibilities for the hunting enthusiasts. There are also facilities available for football, basketball, tennis and table tennis. In case you don't feel like putting on your sport shoes one day, just stay in Villa Ema, have a sauna, relax in the whirlpool bath or read a book watching the snow precipitate from your warm, cozy room. Enjoy a glass of wine and a good conversation infront of the fireplace in our lobby.
