ut if you want a chilled out atmosphere, clean rooms and reasonable prices, the harmoni hostel and pousada is the place to go for you. Here we offer dorm rooms for 40 real during the high season, and double rooms for 150 real. From the top of the pousada you will find a perfect ocean view and downstairs we have hammocks to recover in after a long day at the beach or a trek up to the waterfalls or the “Parrots Peak”. There is a lot of different stuff to do at the island and if you have any questions you have come to the perfect place: Before he became the owner, José was a guide on the island for several years, showing people the best restaurants, the best tours and the best treks. If you want to know where the party is or where the live-music is going to be at one night, José is the man to ask. In the hostel you will also find a well equipped kitchen, local samba vibes and a nice and enjoyable crowd of people from different countries and cultures.
. Vila do Abrão:
The town of Abrão is very simple, yet it offers everything that you could ask for. There are several internet cafés, pizzarias, sea-food restaurants, bars along with shops where you can buy locally produced clothes as well as well-known brands and then there are supermarkets and grocery stores if you like to cook your own food. All of this is within minutes reach of Harmoni Hostel & Pousada. Ilha Grande:
To add to the peaceful atmosphere on the island, the are only three cars in total: A police car, an ambulance and a garbage van. If you want to have a change of scenery, there are many places in Ilha Grande which are worth seeing (and which can be reached from Abrão). The beach Lopes Mendes is perfect for surfers and tanners alike – this long white beach is surrounded by beautiful nature and you can reach it either by a short boat ride or by trekking for two hours in the jungle. Another thing to do is to go to Ilha de Jorges Grego where the snorkeling is superb, and if you’re lucky, you can even see dolphins. If we don’t see you at the pousada, we would still love to meet you – so come by our home one night for a drink or a traditional dance.
