Far away from our homeland Sweden we found paradise and decided to create a place where minds can rest and people will feel at home. Búzios. This was the place!

The dream of a colorful Brasil brought us here as curious tourists and we fell in love. A love that after a couple of visits became an addiction. After working as volunteers in Rio and traveling around the country we finally found our heart. The final decision was made when we found our oasis in Búzios, an amazing house just a few steps from the ocean, 400 meters from all the restaurants and stree

t life at Rua das Pedras and Orla Bardot, but still in a very calm area. We left Sweden and we dared to try. After spending six months creating Villa Balthazar we are now living our dream. Felix’s many years in the hotell- and restaurant business and Petra’s love for people, hosting and interior design are all fundamental pieces in our adventure. Our shared ambition took us to Búzios and HERE we are! We, Felix, Petra and our daughter Chloe are inviting you to become a part of our dream. We welcome you to come and live in our home. Imagine that you are borrowing a house from a dear friend , but the owner is not present. You feel like home, but you do not have to socialize. That’s the feeling we wish to pass on to our quests. Freedom, peace and harmony in a familiarly way. Thanks to the fact that Villa Balthazar is our home and our everyday life we will be around and could probably be found digging in the garden, reading a book, playing with our daughter, having dinner with friends, cooking in the kitchen or any other mundane chore. Our presence means that you always have someone to ask for Búzios´ best restaurant, scenic walk or espresso. Welcome to spend time at Villa Balthazar, enjoy the freedom and everything that Búzios has to offer.

Na Suécia, o Natal é feito de silêncios acolhedores, mesas iluminadas por velas, sabores que atravessam gerações e da certeza de que estar junto é o maior presente. É tempo de pausa, de gratidão e de cuidado.Valores que levamos conosco onde quer que estejamos.

Aqui no Brasil, na Villa Balthazar, celebramos esse Natal sueco à nossa maneira: misturando memórias, tradições da nossa família e o calor humano que encontramos em cada hóspede, amigo e familiar que cruza nosso caminho. E, diferente do inverno do norte, aqui o Natal acontece sob sol, céu azul e dias quentes, uma nova luz para antigas tradições.

Ontem tivemos um daqueles momentos que fazem tudo valer a pena.
O Alessandro queria apenas uma forma simples de celebrar o aniversário da esposa, Renata um parabéns no meio da tarde, sem grandes pretensões, só carinho e café.

Mas aqui, quando o amor chega, a gente abraça.

Nossa confeiteira colocou as mãos na massa com todo afeto, a acolheu o pedido com o mesmo cuidado de sempre e, juntos, transformamos um gesto despretensioso em uma experiência linda, cheia de doçura e surpresa.

O simples parabéns virou uma celebração acolhedora, repleta de afeto, delicadeza e aquele jeitinho da pousada que faz cada momento se transformar em memória.

Na Villa Balthazar, não oferecemos apenas estadias oferecemos sentimentos que ficam. ✨🍰

Yesterday we had one of those moments that make everything worthwhile.
Alessandro wanted just a simple way to celebrate his wife Renata’s birthday a small afternoon surprise, nothing elaborate, just affection and coffee.

But here, when love arrives, we embrace it.

Our pastry chef put her heart into the cake, welcomed the request with their usual care, and together we turned a simple gesture into a beautiful experience filled with sweetness and surprise.

What started as a modest birthday wish became a warm celebration, full of affection, delicacy, and that special touch of our inn that turns every moment into a memory.
