True stories & practical advice:
Hear from some of our previous students!!!

Miriam was not what I expected as a host mother....she is definitely young at heart. To me she was more than a host mother, she was a friend...and still is. _Melina Musni (Sociology, junior, OSU)

and she helped me with so many issues during my stay: from planning my trips outside of Curitiba to little details with my school...She is AMAZING, and plus now when I go back to Brazil I know where to stay. _Joelle Joseph (International Business, 3rd year, OSU)

The neighborhood is very pretty and the people are so welcoming...I liked the fact that nothing was far from our home_Chris Farris (Education T&L, 4th year,OSU)

When I was planning my studyabroad in Brazil, I heard of Miriam and her family from students who had previously studied in Curitiba... I knew I had to stay at her house...

PS: She totally lived up to her reputation and fully met my expectations. Betsy Brenner (International Business, sophomore, OSU)

I have never met a family so kindhearted. If the weather was bad, Josef drove me to school so that I wouldn’t have to take the bus. If I was sick, Miriam made sure to make me hot tea and medicine. They truly care for you.
Natalie Blackburn (International Politics, UNC-Chapel Hill)

In this house, I never felt lonely. Always I could live happily and　comfortably with this family in Brazil. It’s my story. But it’s a chance that everyone can have. Miriam, I love your cooking!
_Yukako Nagamura (Portuguese, 3rd year, University Sophia)
