A Shangri-lá foi o primeiro grande projeto da minha vida depois da escola.

Minha formação em Design de Moda me aproximou da arte têxtil, da composição de ambientes e do Visual Merchandising. Na época, eu ainda não imaginava que esses conhecimentos fariam parte da identidade de uma pousada à beira-mar em Itacaré.

Neste vídeo compartilho um pouco do processo de criação das luminárias dos quartos da Shangri-lá.

Tudo começa com o trabalho de artesãos locais, que transformam matérias-primas naturais como açaí, dendê e coco em peças cheias de identidade. Depois vêm a pintura dos tecidos, a costura e a montagem final.

Sempre acreditei que um ambiente pode despertar sensações através da luz, das texturas, das cores e dos materiais.

Por isso, quando penso na experiência dos hóspedes, penso em cada detalhe que ajuda a criar uma atmosfera acolhedora, confortável e conectada com a cultura local.

Talvez seja por isso que ainda gosto tanto de criar.

Porque, no fundo, a Shangri-lá continua sendo o lugar onde consigo unir design, arte, artesanato e hospitalidade.

Shangri-lá was the first major project of my life after finishing school.

My background in Fashion Design introduced me to textile art, interior composition, and Visual Merchandising. At the time, I had no idea these skills would one day become part of the identity of a small beachfront inn in Itacaré.

In this video, I’m sharing a little of the creative process behind the lamps I designed for the rooms at Shangri-lá.

Everything begins with the work of local artisans, who transform natural materials such as açaí, dendê palm fibers, and coconut into unique handcrafted pieces. Then come the hand-painted fabrics, the sewing, and the final assembly.

I’ve always believed that a space can evoke emotions through light, textures, colors, and natural materials.

That’s why, when I think about the guest experience, I think about every detail that helps create a welcoming atmosphere, full of comfort and deeply connected to the local culture.

Perhaps that’s why I still love creating.

Because, at its heart, Shangri-lá is still the place where I can bring together design, art, craftsmanship, and hospitality.
