Hi hard working hosts! New here but got 25y+ experience in hosting since I am a teenager for my parents real estates.
Anyone has this situation with airBnB? They deleamy account and blocked me from using it. The funny part is that there was no sens. In case you are new, take notice of this.
I had video camera Nest at the door facing the entrance door. It was in my description that as you enter, you can unplug it as it’s for security reasons when nobody is there.
Wait for it! Another host on Bnb is renting for the spring Hollidays week, just before covid, when we all new already that the sh*t it about to hit the fan! I called the lady and told her that the sky mountain may close while you are there. She said: it’s ok, we’ll take a chance!
Sure enough , the hill closed and hours later she is asking for a return! Considering that I could have gone myself that week and I Did call her and advises her, I categorically refused.
Her instead, called and made a story to the fact that I have video camera inside the house and that is illegal!
They call me and I did not lie. Told them that is in absence security for my estate. It’s in my message and verbal advised to people and the facing is in corridor to protect entrance and nothing else. Plus and most importantly, it was unplugged for a couple of month.
Fine! Maybe I was in fault, maybe I did not read the security rules etc.
Do I not deserve a suspension , warning , penalty etc?
Do I just get you are out, after nothing but 5 and 4 stars and over two hundred very satisfied customers averaging 1800-3000$ stay?
WTF?
Please help me make sens of AirBnB?
