Elusive and able to blend easily with their surroundings, seahorses are challenging to study in the open ocean. But on the Bahamian island of Eleuthera, researchers discovered the densest collection of seahorses on the planet. Found in the landlocked waters of Sweetings Pond, these fragile creatures live far away from many of their regular predators, allowing them to evolve in unusual ways and providing scientists with new insights into this mysterious fish.
