We've spotted these beautiful Yellow-crowned Night Herons on so many walks around Rainbow Bay lately, but they’ve always stayed one step ahead of our camera.

This lovely photo was taken by a friend, who kindly let us share it.

They’re just one of the many reminders that wherever you explore on Eleuthera, nature is never far away.

One of our favourite signs that summer has arrived in Eleuthera… 🍍

Pineapple season is here.

Sweet, juicy and grown right here on the island, Eleuthera pineapples are famous throughout The Bahamas.

If you’re visiting this time of year, keep an eye out for roadside stands and stores selling them fresh from local farms.
