Chobe Safari Lodge is situated in Kasane on the banks of the Chobe River and borders Chobe National Park. Accommodation is all river-facing and consists of 46 Luxury and Family-Friendly Safari Rooms, 22 Luxury River Rooms and 8 Rondavels. Activities on offer include iconic Chobe River Boat Cruise Safaris, Game Drives into the Chobe National Park, Kazungula Bridge Tours by Boat, Tiger Fishing and day trips to the majestic Victoria Falls.

“We spent two wonderful days at The Chobe Safari Lodge, and I couldn’t have wished for a better place to celebrate my 60th birthday!

The day started with the entire service and kitchen team singing Happy Birthday to me, complete with a lovely cake – such a warm and unforgettable surprise. They had also beautifully decorated our room and my bed, left me a wonderful handwritten card, and surprised me with a bottle of sparkling w**e and fresh fruit.

In the evening, we enjoyed the Dinner Cruise, which was the perfect ending to a truly special day.

The lodge is fantastic, but what really makes it exceptional is the incredibly warm, attentive and thoughtful staff. Thank you to the whole team for making our stay and my 60th birthday so memorable. We loved every moment and would happily come back!”

This Diamond Jubilee, we’re celebrating a brilliance that goes beyond our natural treasures.

In 2015, Botswana gave the world the remarkable 1,109-carat Lesedi La Rona, meaning “Our Light” in Setswana.

Inspired by this extraordinary diamond, Masedi a Rona means “Our Lights”, shining a light on another of Botswana’s greatest treasures: our people and their creativity.

In collaboration with Art Residency Centre - BW, this exhibition brings the work of local artists to Kasane at The Chobe Safari Lodge, celebrating the talent, imagination and creative spirit that make Botswana what it is.

THE STORY OF THE CHOBE SAFARI LODGE

For generations, the Chobe River has drawn travellers to northern Botswana. Along its banks, the story of a nation has unfolded, tourism has taken root, and safari has evolved.

Established in 1959 and 100% citizen-owned, The Chobe Safari Lodge is the doyenne of Botswana tourism, having been part of that story for more than six decades.

Following a dramatic renovation, the Lodge enters a new chapter that combines its safari heritage with a deeper understanding of Botswana.

Alongside iconic boat safaris and game drives, new spaces and experiences celebrate Botswana’s culture, reveal its history, and share its conservation story.

Since 1959, The Chobe Safari Lodge has grown alongside Botswana, becoming part of its fabric. Generations of Chobe people, guides, colleagues, families, travellers and friends have each added their own chapter to our story.
