Most leopard sightings are over in a flash. A tail slipping into the grass, a flash of spots between the trees. 🐆

October is hot and it is when the Chobe River becomes a vital lifeline for wildlife, with elephants and other animals gathering along its banks as the dry season reaches its peak.

Then late October and November brings the possibility of the first summer storms, changing the landscape and bringing a different side of the bush to life. 🌳

The animals here move between Botswana, Namibia and Zambia the same way they always have. Following water and grass, not a map. 💛

You're not inside an enclosure watching wildlife. You're standing on ground that elephants, giraffes and everything else out here called home first. 🐾
