Belize gets boost in tourism with new flights from JetBlue, Spirit, and United
Belize’s tourism industry is flying higher than ever as JetBlue, Spirit Airlines, and United Airlines expand nonstop flight service to the country, making it more accessible for travelers across the United States.
Starting November 21, 2025, Spirit Airlines will launch nonstop service from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) to Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport (BZE), operating three times a week. This marks Spirit’s first-ever entry into the Belize market, offering affordable fares and easy connections across the U.S. and Latin America.
JetBlue has already made history with its new direct route from New York’s JFK Airport, operating three times weekly year-round. The service connects the heart of the East Coast directly to Belize’s vibrant tourism destinations, from the Belize Barrier Reef to the Maya Mountains and rainforest lodges.
On the West Coast, United Airlines will return with its seasonal San Francisco (SFO) to Belize City (BZE) route beginning December 20, 2025, continuing through August 2026. The route provides a vital link for West Coast travelers seeking sun, culture, and adventure in Belize.
From world-class snorkeling and scuba diving to ancient Maya temples and Garifuna drumming, Belize’s mix of culture, nature, and adventure continues to captivate visitors. With new routes now connecting New York, Fort Lauderdale, and San Francisco directly to Belize, the Jewel is truly just one flight away.
