There are stories you hear from other hotels and businesses over the years, and you always hope you’ll never have to experience them yourself. Unfortunately, this past weekend, our hotel became one of those stories.
As a small, family-operated hotel, we have always welcomed both local and international guests with the goal of providing a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable place to stay. We take the time to explain our house rules, asking every guest to be respectful of the property, our staff, and fellow guests. We believe everyone deserves to enjoy their vacation in a peaceful environment.
Sadly, despite those expectations, the actions of a few individuals resulted in an unfortunate incident that endangered the safety of others and caused damage to our property. This type of behavior has no place at our establishment and will never be tolerated.
Events such as Lobster Fest, Easter, and other busy holiday weekends are meant to be enjoyed responsibly. It is disheartening because the actions of a few often affect the experience of many respectful and responsible visitors.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Belize Police Department for their prompt response, and assistance during the incident. We truly appreciate their service.
To our guests and supporters, thank you for your continued trust and understanding. We remain committed to providing a safe, welcoming environment for everyone who chooses to stay with us. We simply ask that all who visit our property treat it and each other with the respect and consideration that every guest deserves.
