There is lots to do in Corozal, from visiting the beautiful Cerros Mayan ruins, from swimming in the Corozal Bay or venturing out to swim in the lovely Progresso Lagoon or visiting the picturesque Sarteneja Village. The road is fully paved and it takes less than an hour to venture out to see nearby coastal villages.

Chetumal is also 20 to 30 minutes away if you also feel like crossing the border to eat tacos and drink a michelada.
