One of our most curious visitors is the coatimundi - a playful, raccoon-like mammal often spotted wandering through the trees and trails around the property. With their long tails held high like a flag, coatimundis are always on the move, sniffing out insects, fruit, and other tasty treats.

✨ Fun Facts About Coatimundis:
• Their tails can be nearly as long as their bodies and help them balance while climbing.
• They're excellent tree climbers but spend plenty of time foraging on the ground.
• Coatimundis use a variety of chirps, grunts, and whistles to communicate with one another.
• They play an important role in the ecosystem by dispersing seeds throughout the forest.

At Hamanasi, wildlife encounters are part of the experience. Whether it's a coatimundi crossing your path, colorful birds in the canopy, or marine life just offshore, nature is always ready to surprise you.
