Tom purchased a 2000 Ford 12 passenger van in the States and we recently went to get it to bring it down to Belize so we could use it for our tours with BushDog Adventures. On the way down, we had to stop in Canada for my daughter's wedding and while there, the guys discovered a "mud bog race" that they absolutely had to participate in! Needless to say, the guys had a lot of fun testing the vehicle! What do you think? Something you might like to do? Below are photos of before and after the event!

Indiana, our latest baby horse, was born this morning at 4 am! He is a good looking little guy with very very long legs! Another male! It must be something in the water here at Mystic River Resort! We have one more pregnant mare and I hope we get to have a girl....
Next, we should have a bunch of baby goats....stay tuned!

Today we welcomed our new male sheep. His name is Rambo and we think he will live up to his name! The girls were very impressed and they all gathered around him to make him feel welcomed. We are looking forward to going into the lamb business.....

These beautiful birds are called wood rails. They have neon pink legs and a blue/grey neck, a little stand up tail and they are noisy!! They live in groups and every day late afternoon, they sing to each other creating quite a cacophony! They also happen to really like dog food and so have decided to hang around since we always have the bowls filled for the dogs! Come learn about the birds of Belize at Mystic River Resort.

Mystic (brown) has also been training very hard to take our guests on horseback rides. He should be ready for the busy season! Don't forget to go horseback riding when you get to Mystic River Resort!

Ooops! I forgot to type before I sent the photo! So sorry...
We are thrilled to announce the arrival of our brand new c**t, Harrison. Him and his Mum, Precious, are doing just great. He is quite a friendly little guy and will come up to you to nuzzle. A future lady's man for sure!

How to break a horse in Belize? We took River to the water so that he would not be able to kick as much. In the photos, you see River (brown) being pulled along by one of our veteran horses, Coco. River did extremely well and behaved like a pro! We will keep taking him on rides so that our guests can enjoy him when he is completely trained! Come join us at Mystic River Resort and make sure you go horseback riding!
