I’m often asked by guests coming to visit if there are particular needs here on the island and if they can pack items that would be helpful.
This is one I haven’t mentioned as my go to’s have always noted a need for our stray animals, school supplies, shelters (Hope Haven), etc.
We’ll, as we get back to some normalcy our Football Leagues are coming back and there is a need! Thanks in advance to any of our guests who have new or used shoes and/or equipment they’d like to donate to these amazing kiddos! 🙏

6 days until their first game. However, we are missing a couple things in order for them to be able to play on Saturday. Anyone who has a spare boots/football shoes that that they would like to donate or lend out to one of our female we would greatly appreciate it. Size from 6-10 😁👍

Sapphire came to the shelter under less-than-ideal circumstances, but this was only the beginning of her journey to her furever home. Bob and Pam immediately fell in love with her, and she was brought home to Casa de Playa SolMate.

Once she arrived, she timidly observed her surroundings, but made herself at home. In a matter of weeks, she was affectionately deemed “Sappy” 💙

She has now blossomed into the carefree and playful puppy she was always meant to be! Without the care and good work that Saga Humane Society provided, Sappy’s story may have ended differently. In honor of National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day, we encourage everyone who follows us or who may be planning a visit to our beautiful shores soon to donate to Saga Humane Society! Shelters are temporary havens for lost or abandoned pets, and without their good work many dogs and cats wouldn’t have such bright futures. Thank you Saga Humane Society!
