Today, the waters of San Pedro were filled with blessings as the annual Blessing of the Boats took place in honor of Día de San Pedro. This beautiful tradition asks for God's protection over our fishermen, captains, seafarers, and all who make their living from the sea. 🌅⚓️

As boats gathered on the Caribbean waters to receive their blessing, the community came together in faith, gratitude, and celebration—honoring the deep connection between San Pedro and the sea that has sustained generations. ❤️🌊

May calm seas, abundant catches, and safe journeys be granted to all who venture onto the water. 🙌🐟⛵️

🌊⚓️ DÍA DE SAN PEDRO IS HERE! ⚓️🌊

From June 20th through June 29th the island of San Pedro comes alive as we celebrate "Día de San Pedro", honoring "Saint Peter, the patron saint of fishermen", and paying tribute to the generations of island families who built this community from the sea. 🐟🇧🇿

The celebration builds throughout the week with a variety of events and activities, including:

🎉 Community festivities and cultural events
🏖 Beach games and family activities
🎶 Live music and evening entertainment
⛪ Daily religious observances at the San Pedro Roman Catholic Church
🚤 The traditional boat procession and blessing of fishermen and vessels
🙏 Holy Mass and the honoring of Saint Peter, the namesake of our island town

The celebrations culminate on June 29th, the Feast Day of Saint Peter, with the beloved maritime procession, blessing of boats, and religious ceremonies that remind us of San Pedro's proud fishing heritage and strong community spirit. 🌊⚓️❤️
