Summer wilderness camp for girls Canoe trips are the most special and loved of all activities. Northway Lodge Northway Lodge, come together come together, GIRLS!

Northway, Canada's oldest summer camp for girls (founded in 1906), is located on a beautiful peninsula on Cache Lake in Algonquin Provincial Park. Northway offers a traditional program based on our wilderness setting, of swimming, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, arts and crafts and dramatics. Northway has developed an unmatched style, spirit and skill in canoe tripping. Campers practice their canoein

g skills in Northway's cedar-strip canoes through several stages of proficiency. Northway was founded with the idea that girls should learn how to live simply in the outdoors and that the absence of appliances and luxuries would give campers a wilderness experience which they might draw upon throughout their lives. We try to maintain the idea that in-camp life should be almost as simple as life on a canoe trip. In camp the spirit is much the same as it is out in the wilderness - - one of willingness to help others, to befriend every other camper and to appreciate the beauty of nature. GIRLS!
