Northern Edge Algonquin

Northern Edge Algonquin ☀️ Retreat Centre
Creating personalized, unplugged retreats (for 10-25) & transformative experiences

Northern Edge Algonquin co-creates and hosts all-inclusive transformational retreats for groups of 10 to 25. We invite you to unplug in nature for our bespoke, multi-day experiences that reconnect and inspire the leader within, nourishing deep connections in our communities. Our guests sleep comfortably in private or semi-private cozy ecoluxe cabins designed in harmony with our forest home, enjoy

nourishing meals crafted with care from locally-sourced ingredients, and participate in specially curated experiences hosted by local guides, facilitators, and storytellers which make use of our lakeside studio and natural gathering spaces. Groups and individuals experience a variety of workshops led by special guests, guided nature excursions (exploring by stand-up paddleboard, canoe, cross-country ski, snowshoe, bike, or hike); yoga classes, sound meditations, art experiences, and more. We might align with the pace of nature and rise with the sun to paddle a misty river in search of moose and other wildlife, or unwind in our wood-fired sauna before jumping in the lake or rolling in the snow. At night, share stories and music in the warmth of a fire circle under a festival of stars. Guests leave the Edge feeling renewed and transformed, ready to live their extraordinary life.

An afternoon of Sacred Songs is coming up this weekend, and if you’re craving some stirring-into-rhythm, this is just the thing.

We’re excited to welcome back Brenda McMorrow this Saturday, May 31st at 2:00pm for a beautiful, seasonally special Kirtan experience.

More details can be found at the link in our bio.

Most of our sustainability choices happen in the guest experience itself. That’s where they’re actually felt.

We keep groups small. Twelve to seventeen people at a time, thirty-two max overnight. One program running at a time, so the land and the team can breathe between groups.

No wifi or screens to pull energy where it doesn’t need to be. Exterior lighting that doesn’t eat the night sky.

Everything out here moves at a human pace: walking, paddling, skiing, cycling. The property is substance-free, smoke-free, and fragrance-conscious.

Refillable water stations instead of bottles. Reusable amenities throughout. And yes, we even invite you to help clean up after dinner. Turns out some of the best conversations at the Edge happen at the sink.

Guests are invited into this context the moment the retreat begins, introduced to how we care for this place in our first orientation.

Om Shrim Maha Lakshmiyei Swaha
This vibrational sound formula invokes the divine energy of abundance of the spiritual and material kind. And it will be one of the songs that we sing at the “Mantra for Healing and Abundance” workshop on May 31 at (followed by a kirtan concert that night!) the following day, May 31, I go to for a special afternoon kirtan concert. Both locations are beautiful and right next to healing bodies of water and in very special communities. Ahhhh! Link in my bio at - let’s come together in healing song.

It’s the long weekend, it’s hot, and summer is on.

Here’s to the season ahead, and all the light it shines.

It’s a special thing, to bring the work of love together.

That’s what this weekend offered us, and we were lucky to hold space for it.

Over the course of the Replenish Relationships retreat, Anna and Tim brought their years of experience to support the space where loved ones come together in new ways.

Because no matter where we’re at, love will forever be the glue that binds us.

If you’re interested in what this retreat could offer, we invite you to have a look at the page to learn more, reach out with any questions. They’ll be back in the fall and we can’t wait to continue being apart in this most important work.

We’re of the mind here that teams thrive when they have space to connect. More often than not, another meeting or strategy session is far from the solution.

Maybe the solution is actually far away - like, edge-of-the-wilderness far. We think so, anyways.

Something happens when you bring your team off-grid.

A few days outside changes the pace of conversation.

People slow down.
Walls soften.
Meals last longer.
Ideas come easier.
The things that matter actually get talked about, without needing to be packed into a rigid structure.

At Northern Edge, our corporate retreats are designed for small teams looking to reconnect through shared experience, time outdoors, and meaningful conversation.

Real space to reset together. Think it might fit?

Movement feels different when it happens over water or suspended in air. Float is a chance to explore both.

This unique training weekend offers two immersive pathways:

Aerial Yoga Teacher Training or SUP Yoga Teacher Training.

Spend your days moving between forest, lake, breath, suspension, stillness, and play.

Learn foundational techniques, sequencing, safety, cueing, and the deeper art of holding space through movement practice - led by two longtime Edge facilitators.

Whether you’re looking to deepen your personal practice or step into teaching, this weekend is designed to leave you feeling grounded, expanded, and inspired.

June 18–21 at Northern Edge Algonquin.

One of the gifts of retreating off grid?

The quiet.

Most people reflect that in that quiet, they can finally listen.

Come hear all about it.
