As another season at West River Camping comes to a close, we want to thank everyone who chose to spend a little piece of their summer with us.

Every family, couple, and group who stayed with us helped make 2026 a season to remember. Your kind words, positive reviews, and wonderful conversations meant more to us than you know.

🪿Gertie the Goose & Gus are so excited for the upcoming Albert County Exhibition September 17th thru the 20th.

Gertie is thrilled to be participating in the basket races.......🤔 or was it barrel races?🤷‍♀️

Gertie also has been practicing for the wagon races, not sure if they are having any, but Gertie and Gus are so ready!😜🐶

There are good people in this World!!!! So as we were trying to maneuver through "Planned Power Outage" which NB Power claimed would run from 4am til noon. Knowing we could not run the whole campground, Scott wanted to make certain to give them water and bathrooms. Of course you get the choosen couple (while working endlessly to get what was required gathered to make the above tasks happen) that want to speak with the owners, as they want a refund and then of course the Google review card gets thrown around. Then you have some that "well it's not ideal but we will work with it", to, "listen it's fine, we are camping!"
BUT THEN, NB Powers planned outage turns from 12 Noon , to 1 hour later, 2 hours later......me being me, feel I should call guests arriving today and inform them. Maybe they will take their time, somewhere that has power and arrive later then planned and we would have power restored.
I make my 1st phone call to guests arriving from Massachusetts. I explain the power situation. Of course a couple questions were asked as to what they would have and did we know a time frame, so I replied "fingers, toes everything crossed we would have power by the time they arrived. My heart sunk, as she ask her next question....... "Do you need anything, is there anything we can bring you, coffee, anything?"
It's sometimes the very small gestures, that means the 🌎!!!💕⛺️
Oh yeah, for all of you that read to the end, POWER IS ON!!!!!💡🕯☺️
