Day 1 of Art By The River is in the books. Come down to the Kids Zone tomorrow from 10am-5pm to get goodie bags.

Girl Guides of Canada, 2nd Amherstburg Scouting, and The Fort Assembly #26 IORG - Windsor, Ontario will have free arts and crafts activities. Fort Malden National Historic Site, Parks Canada is here so the kids can dress up as British Soldiers and Gibson Gallery has easels up for our little artists.

Drop in and get to know the local youth groups!

Art by the River is this weekend. Come say hi to to our Scouters!

Bring the kids out (they'll get a ticket at the gate) for a free goody bag at the Kids Zone behind the museum.

The bags are full of fun stuff courtesy of 2nd Amherstburg Scouting, Girl Guides of Canada, The Fort Assembly #26 IORG - Windsor, Ontario, and Gibson Gallery.

There are activities at each station all weekend long including a giant jenga game and mini militia courtesy of Fort Malden National Historic Site, Parks Canada and Friends of Fort Malden

👧 Children 12 and under are FREE when accompanied by an adult.

It’s a great way to spend the weekend, support local artists and businesses and just enjoy our town. There's even a free shuttle!

We still need volunteers for next Sunday to run our craft table at Art by the River in the Kids Zone. If you or someone you know is able to help, please leave a comment below.

We're looking for volunteers to help us run the Kid's Zone at Art by the River August 29th and 30th.

2 hour shifts, sign up for as many as you'd like! You'll be helping to run the Scout table craft. It's literally the coolest spot at the event, lots of shade, cool breezes and a ton of fun.

If you take a peek and look really hard you'll see a couple of our friendly Scouters, Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts in the Windsor Star.

If you haven't heard the bagpipes yet, they'll be doing one last parade this Friday at 7pm. Go check them out! They do a fantastic job.

Thank you to all the Beavers, Cubs Scouts, Scouters and families who came out tonight. You made Scouts Canada and 2nd Amherstburg proud! I hope you all had just as much fun as we did.

We just sent out an important email with all the details for our upcoming parade on Friday, August 14th (Bagpipes in the Burg!).

The youth will be marching to celebrate Amherstburg and Richmond Popcorn is generously providing free treats to everyone who comes out in uniform.

Please check your inbox right away for the full details on drop-off/pickup locations and the uniform dress code.

Don't forget to RSVP through the link in the email so we can get an accurate headcount for the parade lineup. ⚜️
