The famous “blue” statue has been removed from the Kennedy Centre by Trump. It needs to be replaced and I have found the most perfect replacement created by the world’s most skilled artist- Mother Nature. Its name “The Donald”. It is remarkable how the artist has captured the essence and details of her subject.
She has also made a second masterpiece entitled “Slovakian Nymph”.
Both pieces are in high demand by MAGA connoisseurs and merch collectors for the low price of only $250,000US. These one of a kind pieces of art will be the most talked about lawn ornaments than ever before! A must have to be displayed next to gold painter Nikes or a Trump Bible or vanity coin.
If no one comes forward to make an, offer to purchase these pieces of art, they will be donated to the Kennedy centre to replace the “Blue” sculpture.

This year homecoming weekend at St.Frances Xavier university was very busy; so busy in fact that many students had to go as far away as New Glasgow for accommodation. Thank you everyone for having made 2026 the best year ever at the Lobster Boat Inn! Sadly it is now “Time to close” for the season and begin to hunker down for the winter.
This summer past, you came from all over: Granada, Jamaica, Quebec, Ontario, Alberta, America, Switzerland, New Brunswick, Labrador, Manitoba, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and Italy.
In an effort to make it easier to extend your stay at the LBI in Antigonish, we are offering a discount for a multi night booking. (Details to follow)
To see and do all there is, you need more time. This will give you incentive to use our lobster firepit, go fishing, walk or ride the trails, explore the St. FX university recreation facilities, pool and sauna, and relax a little on our deck or on a near by sandy ocean beach.
After a salty dip in the ocean it’s always good to enjoy a hot outdoor shower to freshen up. We have that.
The next day you may choose to
further explore the areas of Antigonish from New Glasgow and Pictou to Port Hawkesbury, Guysborough and Cape Breton Island.

It's September and I don't know about you but I get sentimental at this time of year. The summer is quickly drawing to an end and you can see the changes in nature already starting to happen. Fruit is ripening on the vine and plants, both edible and non are making and spreading their seeds to prepare for life again next year. This has been a very busy year at the LBI. People of all sorts have visited from all over, both locally and from places like New York, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Quebec, Granada and Ontario. I see a link between the folks that have visited and the nature that reveals itself at the boat. Plants here grow wild and things like blackberries grow among, golden rod and wild Maples. They don't discriminate, just like us here at the boat. Everyone is welcome and gets the same and equal attention. All of our guests are respectful, engaged, helpful, tidy and friendly and when you look at life and all of the challenges it presents, these traits are important. They create a stress free and relaxed existence. That is the goal of the Lobster Boat Inn. The old girl is in the Autumn of her life and if you let her she will share her experiences with you, both old and new. Why not consider coming along for the journey as you stay a few nights on board. It's not the gaudy Trump Tower. We have just one story but it's a good one that's down to earth.

Just like a bird ready to fly from it’s nest, your university bound son or daughter is getting ready to leave home for the next school year. You as a parent must be so proud. Your little munchkin is coming to St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia and needs to be delivered back to school. You, are the taxi delivery service but don’t you need somewhere to stay when you’re in town? Why not consider booking at the Lobster Boat Inn through Airbnb? It’s an educational experience for everyone.

I was shocked to see that a freeloading family has moved into our Inn without permission. They don't even look the same as we do. They speak no english and now it seems they have decided to steal food, have multiple offspring and pay no rent! They look like they are undocumented and from somewhere else. There ought to be a law!

Wait it looks like they are working hard, doing good by reducing the insect population. They seem to be good parents too providing for their family and raising good little workers for the future. I'm not bothering them and they seem harmless. I certainly don't fear them! I could kick them out but I think I'll let them stay. They're good for the environment, are always singing and may encourage people to book their stay at the LBI just to see a piece of nature in action. This Robin family is welcome at the Lobster Boat Inn just as all families are welcome here. So book your date for a multi-night stay or just a single night if you're just passing through Antigonish. September is our "beak" season so book soon to avoid disappointment. (Airbnb, Hipcamp). September in Nova Scotia is a beautiful month for: travelling, fishing, relaxing, fresh foods and of course bird watching. Get that "free as a bird feeling" at a very reasonable price. 🐦

Something Old is New Again
Introducing our New/Old fire pit chairs! You all know that the LBI is 90% constructed of previously used, repurposed materials. This speaks to our themes of respecting history and nature, and preservation where possible. Yes, the round window in the front of the boat was once a door from a washing machine! So, when good friend Gordie told me that the bowling ally in Antigonish was closing, I jumped at the opportunity to salvage a few of the chairs that were installed way back in the early 80s. Here you see them now re-installed around our FIRE PIT. If you have some SPARE time come and stay at the boat. Gather around the pit, sit in comfort and STRIKE up a conversation, or a match!
