Cape Breton Island is fully open!

The State of Local Emergency has now been lifted for Richmond County, which means it's lifted across the Island. Following last weekend's heavy rain, every county affected by the flooding has now been cleared, and our roads, communities and tourism operators are ready for you.

Thank you to every first responder, public works crew and community member who worked to make this happen, and to the many of you who didn't cancel your plans and trusted us through it. We're glad to say it, without any conditions this time: come explore the Island, we can't wait to see you.

Hi Folks!
As everyone knows, there is a lot of rain in the forecast for this weekend and therefore, we have received many cancellations… which is totally understandable! However, for everyone who is still in for the wet ride, we decided to go ahead and try to do the activities to the best of our abilities, and what mother nature allows! We might have to cancel a few events and move others indoors, but our goal is to make the most of it. Sunday doesn’t look too bad, so Trick or Treating is a go as of right now. We’ll post an updated event schedule tomorrow.

We are closed today for a private event and then tomorrow we're going on a road adventure to Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground & Cabins we can't wait for our 1st visit.
Daily special for our visit will be our Seaside Cheesesteak topped with fried onions, mushrooms our homemade cheddar cheese sauce, house BBQ sauce paired with a dozen minis (classic or snowball) and a drink for 19 buckaroos. We'll also have our full menu available. COME HUNGRY!!!!
