There

are 108 comfortable guestrooms, which can accommodate from two to four people. There are three categories of rooms: Premier, Lodge and One Bedroom Suites. All rooms feature a wood burning fireplace, cozy duvets, telephone, full cable television, coffee maker, clock radio, hair dryer, and iron/ironing board. High-speed Internet access is available. The Premier rooms have a DVD and an oversized bathroom with a heated floor, old-fashioned claw-footed bathtub, and a glass enclosed shower. One Bedroom Suites have a separate bedroom with a DVD and a living room area with kitchenette.

Larch season is almost here. 🍂

For a few fleeting weeks each fall, Banff’s alpine larches turn from green to brilliant gold. Healy Pass is one of the most rewarding places to see them, with a long climb through the forest opening into expansive alpine meadows beneath dramatic mountain peaks.

The full hike begins near the Sunshine Village base area and is approximately 18 kilometres return, so allow most of the day and arrive prepared with layers, water, lunch, bear spray, and sturdy footwear. Conditions can shift quickly at elevation, especially later in September, so check the trail report and forecast before setting out.

Golden colour typically arrives around late September and can last into early October, depending on the season. Plan an early start, hike on a weekday when possible, and remember that the best displays are often brief.

Save this for your fall adventures in Banff.

Haywire takes centre stage this October with an intimate wine dinner celebrating the Okanagan Valley. 🍷

On Saturday, October 24, gather on Tunnel Mountain for canapés followed by a four-course dinner from The Prow Banff, thoughtfully paired with five wines from Okanagan Crush Pad’s Haywire and Narrative collections.

Based in Summerland, Okanagan Crush Pad takes a low-intervention approach to winemaking, working with organically farmed vineyards to let each site shine through. Haywire is known for fresh, textured, terroir-driven wines, while Narrative showcases the diversity of the Okanagan through fruit sourced from distinctive vineyards across the valley.

Later, retreat to your room on Tunnel Mountain and settle in by your in-room fireplace for the night.
