Well I guess I should spill the beans . We have sold this year will be a new start for new owners, They are looking forward to running the Hotel, with some good changes . I will be giving them this page wishing them all the success in the world .

We are excited to share that Dominion Day celebrations are to take place on Saturday, July 1st: two weeks from today! Take part in the street parade, the Victorian style games, and the general rambunctiousness of the day.

Canada’s first Dominion Day celebration in Barkerville took place in 1868, three years before British Columbia joined the dominion in 1871. The citizens of our gold rush town, ever adaptable, launched their own version of a 21-gun salute using black powder charges detonated between anvils, providing a raucous start to the anniversary celebration.
