Unsure where to start? Let us help! Booking your campsite is the first step - even before you rent your camper!
Not all campsites are created equal. Know your options:
1. WHEN TO BOOK π
Don't sleep on it! Book when there is still snow on the ground. Provincial parks allow you to book 5 months out - and we promise there will be people online at 8am the day of! Private parks tend to not book up as fast, but they also have more repeat campers renewing those coveted spots! Most campgrounds offer maps and pics of their sites. Find your top 3 sites and be ready to go for booking day.
2. FULL-SERVICE SITES π°
When you book a site at an RV park (and some private parks), you will have more services than at provincial/national parks. Enjoy plug 'n play: electricity, water and sewer, and live like you do at home! If you are brand new to camping, we recommend going this route. At the other parks, be sure to book a site with electricity. Freshwater and a dumpstation will be easily accessible on the park grounds. We'll provide everything you need for either setup.
3. CAMPGROUND AMENITIES π
Use the park maps to look for what's important to you: Beach, pool, park, trails, nature centre, wifi, museum, water sports, community centre....you name it! Each campground will have unique offerings. Some parks - like provincial parks - offer a more immersive experience for you to soak up all mother nature has to offer. Where RV parks, tend to focus more on community.
