Nova Scotia is closing most provincial visitor information centres, Closing are provincial info centres in Peggy’s Cove, Halifax Stanfield International Airport, Yarmouth and Port Hastings. Amherst will go from operating year round to May through October. The Province plans to connect with visitors digitally. The Province will also permanently close the Sutherland Steam Mill Museum in Tatamagouche, Fisherman’s Life Museum in Oyster Pond and Prescott House Museum in Port Williams.

As the 2025 summer tourism seasons winds down here in SWNS, we're happy to reflect on a busy season that saw 75%+ occupany (provincial avg 52%), July & August. Thanks everyone!

Thanks Garth & Anne! We're so glad you enjoyed your anniversary stay here over labour day weekend. Garth got his McCafe and got to watch the moss boats around the causeway, and they spend days checking out the beaches and shopping and food in Barrington-area. See you next year!
