December 1st is a very important day for Maritime kids and families. A tradition weโve come to love that marks the start of the Christmas season - CHRISTMAS DADDIES!๐ ๐ ๐ถ
Snuggle in tomorrow for the 55th annual edition of Christmas Daddies in the Maritimes - 40th year for Cape Breton!
For anyone who doesnโt know the magic of Christmas Daddies, itโs an annual telethon to raise money for local children and families who need it most during the holidays and beyond.
This year's 7-hour telethon will be broadcast live from Sydney and is jam-packed with Cape Breton entertainment (which you do NOT want to miss)!
Donations made in Cape Breton stay in Cape Breton; and with 10 communities on Cape Breton Island recording a 30% (or higher) child poverty rate, the need is great.
Hereโs how you can participate:
** Make a donation
** Encourage your friends and family to donate
** Tune in and enjoy the show with a cup of hot chocolate
To access the telethon on the network (via your telecommunications provider) please see the screenshot in the comments.
You can also tune in on the internet by visiting: https://atlantic.ctvnews.ca (Please note that the link will not be provided until Dec 1st!)
To make a donation, please visit ChristmasDaddies.org. (don't forget to specify Cape Breton as your donation location of choice).
Christmas Daddies is a non-for-profit organization whose mandate is to help less fortunate children in the Maritime provinces have a better Christmas.
