Due to covid 19, we are no longer open in winter and the Avian room is closed. The Maple & the Woods cabin will re-open in late May. Dining has been set up in room/deck & Sandie will deliver your meal to your room keeping socially distant and you safe. There will be a 2 night minimum on account of the deep cleaning that will be done and there will be no back to back bookings. Meaning, the room will be vacant at least 24 hours before your arrival. From KW to Bobcaygeon

I (Sandie) visited Bobcaygeon in the summer of 2015 and went back home and said to Rob “Rob, you have to come to Bobcaygeon this week-end.” He asked “Why?” I said “Just trust me” When we got here he said “You’re right. It’s gorgeous here and quiet and serene.” We went back to KW (the LRT was making our lives miserable) and put our house up for sale and started looking for houses here in Bobcaygeon. We found the ideal house, built in 1979 by a man from Austria, Frank. We moved in October 30 2015. It was a 3 bedroom 1 bathroom house until Rob started renovating. Now it’s a 2 bedroom, 3 bathroom house with the Woods cabin and newly built Maple cabin with ensuite and it also has a private deck out back that connects to the boardwalk to the Woods cabin. We were lucky enough to win the 2017 Hospitality Award from the Bobcaygeon Chamber of Commerce. We must be doing something right. We have guests that have come back yearly. Our rating at Booking.com is 9.3 and 9.5 for couples. I kept my full time job and commuted weekly to my job in Kitchener at OCJ and SCJ. Finally after doing that for 6 weeks, I told Rob that I felt like I was just visiting when I came back to Bobcaygeon on the week-ends. I quit my job and started helping Rob with the set up of Avian Woods Bed & Breakfast. We opened in 2016 and haven’t looked back.
