While our BNB is closed to humans, we are happy to report that our chickadee family is nesting in the house on the fir tree this year. Simon our cat donated some of his old fur from his latest brushing and I placed it in the lilac tree for nesting birds who helped themselves and were seen flying off with the clump almost as big as the bird itself.

Laughing Duck is closed indefinitely. In light of the Covid19 situation we are asking people not to come to Bowen Island (even for the day) and to stay at home as required by our Provincial Health Authorities. Covid19 is already present on Bowen and perhaps is in the community. Our Island is small with few grocery and medical resources for all the people who live here and are staying home. After this is over please come back again and we will welcome you. Stay safe and connected with family and friends.

Our little chickadee friends have come back to raise their babies in Cheryl's birdhouse on the patio. This is the third time they have chosen to check in with us! So fun to watch the parents bringing little green worms and hear the chirps of the little ones as the parents arrive and depart.

We are back up as a licensed BnB and booking through Airbnb so follow the website link on this page under "About". Our license does not allow for a stove or oven so make sure you don't need one when booking. There are so many great eateries nearby to do take aways or eat in, you won't go hungry!

We are closed for the time being as the municipality has a new requirement for a business licence. We may have to do some modifications to our suite to comply with the new regulations and obtain a licence. Thanks for checking with us and will post here when we are open again.
