The sun went down cold on the Muskoka air,
so we stopped at the Inn — and oh, what was there?
A pizza! Two pizzas! All bubbly and hot,
from Basilico's oven… so we ate the whole lot.

We ate by the river, we ate one, then two,
with a fizz in the glass and a wonderful view.
Then up to a room with a big cozy bed —
"No driving tonight!" is what all of us said.

So stay! Yes, you stay! Have a slice (maybe three),
by the falls, at the Inn, where the good mornings be.
Come eat, and then sleep — it's the best little plan…
at the Inn at the Falls, with a pie in your hand.

Every room at the Inn has a story — and Room 128's goes all the way back to the stables. 🐴

Welcome to the Drumkerry, one of three rooms tucked into the loft above what were once the Inn's horse stables — and in its earlier life, the staff quarters. The name carries an old-country ring, too: "Drum" comes from the Irish word for a ridge or hill, a quiet nod to the British and Irish pioneers who settled Muskoka.

Today it's a cozy retreat with one of the best views over the river and the patio below. 150 years of history, one room at a time — stay where it lives. 🌿

Your Bracebridge week, sorted — most of it a short stroll from our door, a few worth the Gravenhurst drive:

🎶 Wed Aug 19 — Bandshell Concert Series with Briar Summers. Live music, open sky, Memorial Park (6:30–8 PM, free). Bring a chair, bring a date, bring your slightly-off harmonies.
🎨 Thu Aug 20 — "Bare Essentials" opens at MAC on Main. Two Muskoka painters, zero clutter (free · RSVP requested).
🧺 Sat Aug 22 — Farmers' Market at Memorial Park from 8:30 AM, plus free drop-in yoga with Bonnie. Downward dog, then downtown brunch. We don't make the rules.

Worth the drive: Forever Plaid at the Gravenhurst Opera House (Mon–Wed), Muskoka Music Festival with Serena Ryder & Mimi O'Bonsawin (Sat 7:30 PM), and a Gordon Lightfoot tribute at Music on the Barge (Sun 7 PM).

Every room at the Inn has a story — and Room 107's is a good one. 🏛️

Meet the Charles Lount Room, named for the Bracebridge magistrate the whole town simply called "the judge." Lount came to the village in 1870, ruled on police cases, and even ran against William Mahaffy — yes, the very name on our street — for District Judge back in 1888.

Stay where the history lives. 🌿

Checkout was at 11am. 🦌 Nobody told the doe.

She found the Deer Feeding Area, decided these hooves were made for walkin'… straight past the front desk. Honestly? Checkout can wait. 150 years on the river and we still share the grounds with our favourite locals. 🌿
