We have received so many thoughtful messages of support and greatly appreciate the kind offers of help. Tomorrow we are expecting more poor weather and ask that people stay away. People wishing to help are welcome to return Thursday but please remember to park only in the main parking lot and walk to your sites. Please be aware of the heavy machinery and people working. Happy belated birthday to Brooke and Happy 16th birthday to Chris who you’ve probably never seen. Chris has been a wonderful addition to the Six Foot Bay Team. Looking at the photo, it’s probably not that big of a struggle for Chris to want to come to work but we appreciate him anyway! Probably one of the youngest we’ve ever hired, Chris began as a dishwasher two years ago and now is moving up to line cook and as Michael has dubbed him, Chief Steward. This isn’t the first birthday that Chris has shown up to work on and I hope it won’t be the last time he chooses to spend with us. Sometimes I hear people say “Young people don’t want to work anymore.” I have no idea what they are talking about and have about 20 examples of the opposite. Thank you to all of our hardworking staff and thank you to our loyal and understanding customers. We love you

Hey, Everyone. It’s Melissa, here. I just found out that Chris Nickleford is no longer with us. I knew last summer that he was ill but he was still one of the nicest and most outgoing people and I always waved when running by his place and will sincerely miss him as I’m sure anyone who knew him will. Chris carried the weight of mortality like a fu***ng champ and must have had a very rough last 12 months or so but was still a great guy. I find I get more sad, the older I get when people pass away. I suppose the only thing we can do is appreciate the lives we have and make sure the people we love know it every day. I’m very sorry if you or the people close to you are experiencing or have experinced loss or suffering. And to Chris…you will be missed…

Once again, we are fortunate enough to have an amazing team of hardworking people always ready to help each other and to do whatever needs to be done to keep things running smoothly.
