Join us at Lake of the Sandhills for the 2026 Golf Mixed Closing at Buffalo Point Resort! It's our final mixed event of the year, and it’s going to be a fun, (perfectly acceptable golf-fun) way to close things out.

When: Sunday, September 6th
Time: 1:00 PM (Shotgun Start - don't be late for the slightly fun pre-game)
Included: Your meal (the real star of the show), a good time, and maybe even a few pars.

Pricing:

Members: $35

Non-Members: $80
(Carts are not included in the fee)

Crucial Deadline: You must register by August 28th to secure your spot. Don't pull a club selection panic – sign up today!

Why are there so many Monarch butterflies at Buffalo Point right now? 🦋

​As late August arrives, thousands of migrating Monarchs funnel along the edges of Lake of the Woods to avoid flying over open water. Buffalo Point serves as their ideal staging ground—offering sheltered tree boughs to rest on and rich late-summer nectar to fuel their 4,000 km journey to Mexico.

​Keep an eye on the sheltered pines and wildflower meadows over the next couple of weeks to see them before they catch a tailwind south!
