Happy Long Weekend! ☀️

The unofficial start to Canadian summer is finally here - and we couldn’t be more excited for the warmer weather to arrive at Timbernest. The patio furniture is out, the docks are in, and we’re ready to welcome guests for a season full of sunny afternoons, lake swims, campfires, and slow mornings by the water.

Our first winter at Timbernest Cottage… and what a season it’s been ❄️🤍

We took ownership at the beginning of November and dove headfirst into making this space our own. The past few months have truly been a labour of love - equal parts exciting, exhausting, and incredibly rewarding.

We’ve sat on what feels like a million couches, tested just as many dishes, glasses, linens, and bedding, and poured so much care into every detail. All with one goal in mind: creating a space that feels just as special for our guests as it does for our own family.

In between it all, we’ve had the chance to soak in the magic of winter here and share it with friends and family. From the snowy mornings, and quiet lake views, to the cozy nights by the fire or under the stars in the hot tub - safe to say, we are hooked!

We’re so proud of how Timbernest is coming together, and we know it will keep evolving with each season. With spring just around the corner, we can’t wait to see the lake come back to life and experience everything the warmer months will bring 🌿

We’re so excited to introduce our cozy four-season lakeside retreat on Black Donald Lake, just outside Calabogie, Ontario. 1hr 15 minutes from Kanata.

Nestled among the trees and just steps from the water, Timbernest is the perfect place to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy everything cottage life has to offer.
