Hi friends. I had no idea that it’s been a year since I posted updated pictures of my cozy apartment above my garage. My Airbnb/Homeaway from Home, short term vacation rental. It’s a very unique place that gives off the warm feeling of being at home. If ever you wanted to come to the city, but didn’t want to stay in a hotel….please check out my place. You get a completely colourful, sunny, cozy furnished apartment to yourself. It’s not a bed and breakfast, so you are completely on your own. So yes, you have to cook your own meals, but there is tons of restaurants within walking distance if that’s how you want to roll on your time away. You have lots of privacy, as there is no hallways or lobby’s to walk thru…just the brick pathway from your own private parking pad. There is tons of parks in every direction you walk, so if you have kids, they will get lots of outdoor fun. Plus, this quaint neighborhood is always so friendly, with people sitting on their front porches, walking their dogs, or just out for an evening stroll. Don’t be surprised if you have little visits with people passing by, as McKenzie Towne is just so pleasant. Which is why I like to call it Pleasantville🥰

I’m booked solid in the near further, but have July 2nd and 3rd nights available, if you or your family want to come stay. I’ve got some availability for august still too, so the whole summer is not booked up quite yet.

Happy Easter to one and all.

I’ve decided to put gifts on my Tree of Hope, one last time. The grand finale, and then close this chapter of my life. Thank you to those whom walked this journey with me, for the beautiful friends I’ve gained, and for all that contributed to the Tree of Hope.

Not bad when they are younger,
But with age they say “ouch.”

You need a place,

So family and friends,
Can visit you with care.
Yet, go to their own place,
And no need to share.

I did a bit of redecorating in between my guest stays. Thought it needed some new colors, furniture and art work. Thanks to my honey for helping me make this all happen. I think it turned out good. It’s super bright and sunny in the guest house, but not to worry, the A/C is up and running so it’s comfortable on those hot summer days. If you haven’t noticed....I love the color red and florals❤️
If you know of anyone wanting an alternative to hotels....the Woodford Guest House is a homey and cozy option. 🥰

Although it’s cold and snowy outside....it’s warm, bright and cozy in the guest house. No lights needed during the day in here. Great place to curl up with a movie and tea on your vacation to Calgary ❤️

It’s been a really busy summer so far. But I managed to do some more redecorating in between guests. I added a ceiling fan and a brand new air condition, new mattress and more homey touches. Also, for those with kids, I supply a playpen, extra twin bed, booster seat, stroller and toys....so you don’t have to pack it all for your vacation. Tons of parks within minutes from here. I try to make your holidays carefree and relaxing. Plus you always get a bowl full of snacks to greet you on your stay. If anyone is coming to Calgary and wants to stay here instead of a hotel....let me know 🙂

A bit of redecorating done. If anyone is coming to the city, and would usually stay in a hotel.....next time, try out my guest house. More room, more colour, more comforts of home. Sleeps 4. Totally child friendly. $110 per night :)
