What a season at Glen Echo Cottages!

It's been a little while since we've posted, but that certainly doesn't mean the fish haven't been biting!

As we wrap up another fantastic open-water season on Lake Nipissing, we wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who made 2026 such a memorable year.

To all our returning guests, new faces, friends, and everyone who follows along and supports Glen Echo Cottages — thank you! We truly appreciate your continued support and the opportunity to be part of your fishing trips and family vacations.

We've seen some incredible fish caught this season, and we figured it was about time we shared a few of them! Here are just some of the great catches from 2026.

While the boats are being put away and the cottages are being closed up for the season, we're already hard at work getting everything ready for another exciting ice fishing season!

Thanks again to everyone who made this year so special. We can't wait to welcome many of you back out on the ice this winter!

It was great to have FISH TV here for a few days on the open water!

Musky season is finally here on Lake Nipissing! 🎣

The wait is over and we're excited to see anglers back on the water chasing one of Ontario's most iconic game fish. Whether you're after your first musky or hunting for a true giant, there's no better place to start than Lake Nipissing.

Good luck to everyone heading out this opener, and remember to handle these incredible fish with care so future generations can enjoy the same experience.

We’ve upgraded the two StarCraft and the two Crestliner boats with brand new Minn Kota Terrova trolling motors. Spot-Lock and smoother boat control to help keep you right on the fish all day long on Lake Nipissing.

There aren’t many better places to watch the sun rise and set than out on Nipissing.

Elvin takes their trophy this year with a big 28 1/2" pickerel! Nice catch!

Dave and I were very excited about bringing back ice fishing to Glen Echo and we were blown away at the response! Thank you for all the photos you shared. It was great to see all the great times had with proud kids holding their walleye, friends holding huge pike and perch, and piles of fish laid out on the snow. Your smiles and those impressive catches made the season unforgettable. The huts are now tucked away for the season and we're getting ready for the spring bite, just around the corner!

We appreciate every one of you who came out, and we can’t wait to do it again next winter!
