The coffee is hot, the lake is calm, and the fish are probably already plotting against us this morning. Around here, mornings are best spent soaking in the sunrise, breathing in the fresh air, and pretending we know how to fish. 😆

The dog is NOT being murdered!
If you hear dramatic screaming coming from our backyard, please remain calm. Jan either came home or drove by in the golf cart again. The dog is perfectly fine, extremely spoiled, receives unlimited love and treats, and simply suffers from severe separation anxiety. 🐶💀😂

Like the trillium, you don’t have to be the loudest in the forest to leave an impact.

The trillium blooms quietly beneath towering trees, waiting patiently for its season — rooted deep, resilient through storms, and beautiful without begging to be noticed. A reminder that growth doesn’t always happen loudly. Sometimes the strongest souls bloom softly, steadily, and exactly when they’re meant to.

So if life feels slow right now, trust the season you’re in. Even the trillium knows the forest wakes up one bloom at a time.

Jake’s Cottages Refresher

It’s been a whole year, and we are so excited to welcome everyone back to Jake’s Cottages!

Before your visit, we’d like to take a quick minute to refresh a few important items:

Check-in is 2:00 PM and check-out is 9:00 AM. To help limit parking congestion and give our team time to prepare cottages and boat rentals, we kindly ask that guests arrive and depart at these scheduled times.

If you have a boat rental, please note your boat will not be ready until after check-in time. Boat rentals are available to Jake’s Cottages guests only. Ontario residents will also need an Ontario Boater Card to rent a boat due to current Ontario boating requirements.

We also ask that all guests respect our occupancy limits. If you would like to visit with friends or family who are not staying at Jake’s, there are many wonderful nearby spots perfect for gathering.

Lastly, Jake’s Cottages is a non-smoking property. Smoking or va**ng is not permitted inside the cottages for any reason and may result in a fine.

Thank you for helping us keep Jake’s Cottages safe, organized, and enjoyable for everyone. For a full list of rules and policies, please visit our website.

Apparently it’s now their VIP hangout for the entire season…
