DINNER TO BE HELD AT THE “WHITE SANDS HOTEL” - Prince Edward Island will become a fan destination when it hosts the first-ever Road to Avonlea convention this summer from August 7-9. The much loved televison series which aired Sunday nights on CBC from 1990-1996 will reunite fan-favourite cast members Maja Ardal (Clara Potts), Zachary Bennett (Felix King), Lally Cadeau (Janet King), Ian D. Clark (Simon Tremayne), John Friesen (Archie Gillis), Kyle Labine (Davey Keith), and James O'Regan (Abner Jeffries), alongside panels with crew members, series experts, and members of the Lucy Maud Montgomery’s family. Highlights include a VIP reception, a special dinner at Dalvay By The Sea (the show’s iconic White Sands Hotel) and exclusive tours of filming locations and Montgomery’s home.

PEI’s minister responsible for forestry has issued a fire closure order that bans all fires in the province, including campfires, until further notice.

The ban on campfires and bonfires includes fires on private property as well at provincial parks and campgrounds. Fines under the Forest Fire Prevention Act are enforced while a fire closure order is in place. Fines can reach up to $50,000, plus victims of crime costs. A person causing a fire may be liable for all damages arising from the fire.

Domestic brush burning, known as category 1 burns, continue to be banned. Permits are now revoked for industrial and agricultural burns, also known as category 2, 3 and 4 permits, regardless of weather conditions.

With the lack of rain, there is a fire ban for all of P.E.I. which includes fire pits. Until further notice bonfires are prohibited. Once we receive rain, the fire ban will be lifted and can have bonfires. Thank you for your patience, as we wait for Mother Nature to provide us with much needed rain.

We are pleased that our pool is finally operational and we want to thank everyone for their patience and understanding. This was certainly beyond our control and are pleased to have the pool for our guests as we are always working hard to make everyone’s Vacation memorable.

Pool Update :

It was determined there was a leak, which was located and fixed.
Currently, we are in the process of clearing up the water. We are in constant contact with our pool company and they assure us we are doing what needs to be done / adding appropriate amount of chemicals.
We thank you for your patience as we work to get our pool operational !
