Gold Panner Campground Founded on a Chinese heritage mining operation, the grounds are surrounded with history dating back to 1840. This place still has gold through out the grounds.

Tucked into the quiet foothills of the Monashee Mountains along Canada's iconic Rainforest to Rockies route between Vancouver and Calgary, Gold Panner Campground is a family-run retreat where forest, history, and fresh mountain air come together. During the 1800′s Chinese came to the historic site to mine gold for the emperor of China. After searching and exploring the grounds you will be very surprised at the amount of Gold on the property and the surrounding area. The adventure of becoming a Gold Panner and learning the history is one that will remain in your thoughts your entire life. Its a piece of Canada so rich with history and heritage that it makes an experience of a life time.

Unpopular opinion: Fall is the best camping season!!

Cooler weather, the changing colours and falling leaves, the smell of fall in the air... The campground is quieter, the campfire is extra cozy, and it's the perfect weather to cozy up in a toque and a flannel! Hiking is easier because you're not getting overheated and the views are epic with all of the reds, golds, oranges and yellows.

I know most people think of summer when they think of camping, but fall camping is my absolute fave!
