🧲💥 WE’RE OFFICIALLY ADDING TREASURE HUNTING TO THE CAMPGROUND… 🌊

No, seriously.

This season at Eagle’s Rest, you can show up…
grab a magnet…
throw it into the river…

…and pull up whatever’s been hiding down there.

Coins.
Tools.
Lost sunglasses.
Random mystery objects.
(We’re fully expecting at least one “what IS this??” moment.)

👉 It’s called MAGNET FISHING…
and it’s way more addictive than it should be.

One throw turns into ten.
Ten turns into “just one more.”
Next thing you know, you’ve been at the river for 2 hours and you’re emotionally invested in a piece of metal. 😅

🦅 The Story Behind Eagle’s Rest 🌲

Eagle’s Rest wasn’t built from a business idea.

It was built during a time in our lives when everything felt like it was falling apart.

There was a lot happening all at once…
family members fighting cancer,
losing people we loved,
PTSD struggles,
career changes…
and just the kind of life moments that shake you to your core.

It was heavy.
It was overwhelming.
And some days, it felt like there was no place to breathe.

Then we found this land.

And for the first time in a long time… things got quiet.

No noise.
No expectations.
Just trees, the river, and space to sit with everything we were carrying.

And in that stillness, something started to shift.

We didn’t fix everything.
But we found moments of peace.
Moments of clarity.
Moments where we could just… be.

We made a decision during that time—one that wasn’t easy.

We took our life savings and poured it into this place.

Not because it was the safest move.
Not because it was guaranteed to work.

But because we believed this land could become something more than just a campground.

We wanted to create a place for people like us.

People going through hard things.
People carrying weight they don’t always talk about.
People who just need:

🔥 a fire to sit by

🤝 connection

A place for veterans and civilians alike.
A place to step away from the chaos and reconnect—with nature, with others, or with yourself.

Eagle’s Rest is still growing.

There’s so much more we want to build.

And we will—as time and finances allow.

Because this isn’t just a project to us.

It’s something we built out of heartbreak but with a dream in mind…
and turned into something we hope can bring healing to others.

Eagle’s Rest is a veteran-owned campground, and we know firsthand that sometimes what a person needs most… isn’t complicated.

It’s quiet.
