🐝 Something new is beginning at BlueStone Acres…

We’re delighted to introduce the Hearth & Hive Community Society—a rural, land-based nonprofit connecting people, pollinators and the land through education, community care and practical action.

Our first initiatives include:

🌼 BLOOM—an educational pollinator garden and portable learning station
🔥 Heart(h) for Homes—helping local seniors, vulnerable residents and families access firewood
🌿 Volunteer, membership and community-learning opportunities—with more still to come

Our new website is officially ready for its soft launch! It’s a place to learn about our work, join the Hive, volunteer, support an initiative or simply follow along as we grow.

This organization is taking root through the generosity, ideas and hard work of people who believe stronger communities are built by caring for one another—and for the land that supports us.

Winter is coming, and the hearth must be fed. At Bluestone Acres, we’re proud to offer TRUE CORDS of seasoned Birch firewood — a clean‑burning hardwood that burns 2–2.5x longer and hotter than softwoods like spruce or pine. Perfect for wood‑burning stoves and long northern nights.

🪵 Full Cord (Birch): $425 – 15% discount on 5+ cords paid upfront

🪵 Half Cord: $225

🛻 6.5 ft Pickup Load: $150

🏕️ Campfire Bundles: $15 each (pickup in Vavenby)

Clearwater: $50/cord

Vavenby: $25/cord

Birch Island: $30/cord

Seniors: FREE stacking (because elders deserve warm hearths without heavy lifting)

💙 Opening Our Heart’th’ Giveaway This winter, we’re opening our Heart’th’ to those in need. Families who are struggling can be nominated to receive a free ½ cord of firewood, delivered and stacked by us.

👉 To nominate someone: Send an email to [email protected] with a short note about why this person or family needs the gift of warmth. We’ll draw one household at random on December 1st.
