⚠️Huge shoutout to Mitch Coe and his wife Marcy for likely saving the entire Loon Lake community!

While driving along Portage Bay Road, Mitch and Marcy discovered a fire🔥 approximately 4–6 feet high just around the corner from the Loon Lake community.

Without hesitation, Mitch sprang into action, grabbed a large bucket from his truck, and began dousing the flames with nearby swamp water.
At the same time, Marcy immediately called the Coleman Fire Department, which responded quickly to the scene.

It appears that a tree had fallen onto a power line, sparking a ground fire amid the high winds and dry, dead wood debris. The situation had the potential to become extremely serious very quickly.

Hydro crews and the fire department are now on site and managing the situation.

Thank you, Mitch and Marcy, for your quick thinking, fast action, and community spirit. This could have turned out much worse, and your efforts may have prevented a major disaster. You truly saved the day! 👏🚒🔥❤️
