Nestled in 18 acres of truly Albertan streams, trees and wildlife is a place that welcomes us all. The buildings and land were obtained in 2009 by Universal Rehabilitation Service Agency (URSA) with a single purpose: to create a retreat space where all individuals, regardless of ability, can experience the beauty of a relaxing and calming retreat space. When the agency learned that the area was once a peaceful fishing retreat for acclaimed Canadian writer W.O. Mitchell, URSA received the blessing of the family to rename the centre the W.O. Mitchell URSA Retreat Centre, in a joint celebration of what this space offers to all who visit. To cover the cost of the centre, and to ensure we can continue to make our space available to all, we invite groups who share our values of inclusiveness to rent our centre for private bookings. We offer an “all inclusive” approach to booking, making everything from meals and beds, to décor vendors and facilitators available to help you host retreats, small-group meetings and celebrations.

What we offer:

• Main retreat area with meeting space for 40 and shared sleeping accommodations for 25.

• Full commercial kitchen and catered meal service.
