It’s time for year two of Hot Soup, Cool Jazz!

After raising an incredible $5,000 for the Bay of Islands Food Bank last year, we’re bringing it all back for another unforgettable evening of delicious soups from some of our favourite local restaurants, live jazz and community spirit.

Join us on November 14th, 7pm as we come together once again to eat well, enjoy some great music and support an organization that does so much for our community.

Have you seen our latest treat for the eyes? Portraits of an Island, by Kyle Gavin, is a collection of ten pencil drawings celebrating the animals that help give Newfoundland and Labrador its character.

Every two months, a new artist takes over our gallery wall (and whole lobby in this case) in partnership with Picture It In A Frame.

(And as an extra bonus, the artist also donates a portion of print sales to the Newfoundland and Labrador Outfitters Association Preservation Fund.)

Join us from 7 p.m. until late as CB Nuit celebrates its 10th year! This year’s theme is FLOW, and we’re thrilled to feature two exciting installations right here at the Hew & Draw: Drawn Together and Halo of Reality.

While you’re here, check out our latest exhibition, Portraits of an Island by Kyle Galvin. Our special CB Nuit 10th-anniversary edition of Humber L***r will also be available in our retail store until 10pm.

Hey folks! You may have heard we lost power today, and yep, that’s true. The transformer behind the hotel decided to wake up and choose violence. ⚡️

The good news? We thought the power might be off for days, but NL Power swooped in and got us back up and running. Whew!

All that to say: the restaurant will be open tonight starting at 6pm!

Bear with us, we didn’t get to prep today, so the menu will be limited as the evening goes on. But we’re here, we’re open, and we’re ready for some Friday night good times!
