Notice to all of our wonderful customers - after July 15/25 the DLR store will no longer be open. We are still operating as a resort, but our main focus will be cabin and motel rentals and serving those staying with us. Thank you!

Quick update -
All is well here at DLR. Lots of much needed rain in the forecast for this weekend. The store remains closed at this time and will reopen with minimal hours once Hwy 106 opens all the way to Creighton/Flin Flon. On another note - fishing has been amazing!

- 24 active fires
- 254 fires year to date
- Around 400 values lost, confirmed 290
- All fires have received at least some rain
- The SHOE fire received 22mm.

This was the most positive press conference so far. With the fires getting some rain, and VPUs (sprinklers) being taken down in some areas that are no longer under threat.

Brabant:
Reduced threat at Brabant, romeving VPUs (sprinklers).

Little Bear Lake:
According to the latest SPSA press conference the threat of fire at Little Bear Lake is reduced and they have started dismantling VPUs (sprinklers).

Creighton:

Evacuation order was lifted on Thursday, I missed this!

Pelican Narrows:

PBCN posted that Effective at 7:00 PM tonight, Highway 106 from Smeaton up to the Highway 135 junction (leading toward Pelican Narrows and Sandy Bay) will reopen to the public.

Deschambault Lake Resort is currently closed due to wild fire activity. While the resort is not in any immediate danger, we have decided to close our doors to the public. Stay safe everyone.

Update for all those wondering how we're doing. First of all, thank you for all the calls and people checking in! We are all safe at the moment. It's smoky here the last two days (photo is from this morning), but the lack of wind is quite welcome. All roads to and from the resort are closed, so we are staying in place and even doing a little fishing! We are keeping a close eye on fire activity and road conditions. Stay safe everyone.

As of this morning May 26, the marked green route (Hwy 2 to 165 to 106) is the only open route to the resort from PA.
