Congratulations to our 2026 Car Rally champions, Brenda and WBro Mark Baecker, and to our newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, on this year's victory!

What a wonderful day it was. The rally was filled with fun, laughter, friendly chirping, and great fellowship. The food was outstanding, and although the day was warm, the evening cooled off beautifully, making it the perfect setting to enjoy time together.

Crossfield Lodge would like to extend our sincere thanks to Carol and RWBro. Ken Ionel for their outstanding work in organizing this year's event. Your dedication and countless hours of preparation made the day a tremendous success.

Events like this are only possible because of the many volunteers who generously give their time and energy. While we can't name everyone, we would like to recognize a few whose efforts stood out: RWBro. Robin MacKinnon and his family, WBro. Peter Van D**e and his talented chefs, JW Bro. Rolly Gayoso, WBro. Jay Jamali, Bro. SS Chris Darjes, and Bro. SW Randy Venker. Thank you for everything you did to make the day enjoyable for everyone.

A very special thank you goes to our families, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes throughout the day. Your support, hard work, and willingness to help with every detail ensured that everyone was well looked after and able to enjoy the event safely.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who attended and participated. It is the friendships, laughter, and spirit of fellowship that make these gatherings so memorable. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year.

Crossfield Lodge #48 – Steak Night Success!

An amazing evening at Crossfield Lodge #48!
The lodge was filled with laughter, friendship, and great stories as Brothers and guests gathered for an unforgettable Steak Night. The incredible turnout was a testament to the strong bonds of fellowship that make our lodge such a special place.

A sincere thank you to our Stewards, Bro. Chris Darjes and Bro. Matt Bordeau, who did an outstanding job ensuring the evening ran smoothly. Your hard work and dedication helped make the event a tremendous success.

Special recognition goes to JW Bro. Rolly Gayoso, whose vision, planning, and effort brought the evening together. Your commitment to the lodge and its members is greatly appreciated.

A special thank you also goes to Bro. Earl Scott, who cooked the steaks to perfection. The meal was exceptional, and the many compliments received throughout the evening were well deserved.

We were delighted to welcome several visiting Brothers whose presence added to the warmth and fellowship of the night. Thank you for joining us and helping create such a memorable atmosphere.

Congratulations are also in order for Worshipful Brother Jay Jamali and Worshipful Brother Tony Gize, the lucky winners of the evening's bottles of rum!

Finally, thank you to our Worshipful Master, Dan Cabral, for his leadership and kind words of appreciation. His remarks perfectly captured the spirit of the evening and the importance of the friendships we share.

Nights like these remind us that Freemasonry is about more than meetings—it is about brotherhood, fellowship, and creating lasting memories together.

Yesterday, our Junior Warden Bro. Rolly Gayoso and Bro. Jonas Hibo of Airdrie Wild Rose Lodge attended a joint York Rite Master Mason degree hosted by four Edmonton area lodges: Edmonton Lodge No. 7, Strathcona Lodge No. 77, Temple Centennial Lodge No. 167, and Wetaskiwin Lodge No. 15.

Together, these lodges exemplified true Masonic unity by jointly conferring the Sublime Degree of Master Mason upon five worthy candidates. The evening was further honoured by the presence of three Past Grand Masters of Alberta, adding distinction and significance to an already memorable occasion.

It was a powerful demonstration of fellowship and inter-lodge harmony, highlighting the importance of visitation in strengthening the bonds of our Craft. Witnessing multiple lodges come together in shared purpose to raise five brethren to the Sublime Degree serves as a reminder of the strength we build when we work in unity.

Worshipful Master Bro. Dan Cabral extends his sincere appreciation and recognition to Bro. Rolly Gayoso for his continued dedication, active involvement, and commitment to supporting the Masonic community.

May we continue to strengthen our lodge through regular visitation, fraternal engagement, and steadfast commitment to the principles of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth.
