Another recent upgrade and a further step towards sustainable tourism - the Riding Fool has just installed solar window film.

Suntek Window Film helps to reduce solar heat gain by 75%! This can result in a more comfortable indoor environment and reduced reliance on air conditioning.

☀️Riding Fool Accommodations has gone SOLAR ☀️

We have been very busy at the Riding Fool - bringing our beautiful 1895 heritage building into a sustainable and cleaner future.

In February a 13.13kW solar system was installed - the first Cumberland commercial property to go solar. These 26 panels will now generate 12,000 kWH per year - that’s 31% of our annual energy usage!

That’s the carbon equivalent of:
🚗 driving 34,659km less
🌲planting 143 trees and growing them for 10 years
⛽️eliminating 3,585L of gasoline emissions
