Today on Tahltan Day, we proudly honour the past, present, and future of the Tahltan Nation.
As a Tahltan-owned business, we are grateful every day to live, work, and serve in these lands. Lands made possible through the strength, resilience, and vision of generations of Tahltan people.
On this day in 1910, ancestors came together to sign the Tahltan Declaration, a powerful and historic statement asserting Tahltan rights, sovereignty, and title over the traditional territory. Their bravery and clarity of purpose in that moment continues to guide the Nation to this day.
We take this opportunity to reflect on all those who have carried that vision forward, elders, leaders, knowledge-keepers, and community members, who have shaped this land and continue to build a strong future for all Tahltans.
To the Tahltan ancestors who stood up and spoke out in 1910, and to the generations since who have protected the values, culture, and Nation, we thank you.
