Camp Work Bee June 5th 6th.

Hi All, Currently we only have about 6 people confirmed to assist in our work bee. This time of year is extreamly important to the success off a Camp season. With out the help of volunteers we will need to hire workers to get the jobs done before rentals start in full.

Please let us know if your available to help get things ready.

We have lots of accomadations to clean and make fresh for our quest. The first of the season cleaning is most important as your normal flies ect can be a nuisance. So while its important its not requiring any special skill or knowledge, its share the load and get dirty. Lol

We also have a rail roject to repair at the Judy Frazer from vandalism over the winter. So a little bit of carpentry skills will be great.

The pool eeds to be opened and cleaned to get things going as well from winter residue.

We also have some projects with out rental trailers that need to be cleaned as well as some repairs to a slide floor.

We really need your help. So many of our past volunteers for Camp are in their senior years and have poured in so many hours, they can always be counted on but many cant do the strenuous jobs anymore. We need some younger blood to help show our seniors they are not alone in their love for Camp.

We look forward to hearing from you. Remember, we need you to make the difference!!!!!

I am happy to report that the water test has been received and has passed for drinking water.

I thank Tony Smith once more for another successful test.

The water at Camp Evangeline is considered a registered public drinking water and is not treated. And has consistently passed both the 3 month test and the 2 year chemical test.

Next test will be 90 days from now.

Thank You

Steve Williams

We would like to be able to have a spring cleaning and work Bee on June 5th and 6th.
Please message [email protected] if you have a ladies team or mens group that would be willing to come help with some projects.
We would even take help from a youth group looking to help Camp get ready for the rentals ahead.

With the first long weekend starting the season off please remember that we have new policies for garbage disposal.

Absolutely no black bags allowed in out garbage bins. The garbage must be in clear bags and put in one of the three marked GARBAGE bins. All card board/boxboard must be placed in the large bin marked Cardboard. The cardboard must be flattened and is not allowed to be bagged or tied please.

If the cardboard bin is contaminated we will be charged over double the cost for its removal.

Large furniture, mattresses, and construction materials from your cabin or trailer should be taken to the Kemptown garbage facility, please do not put these items in our bins.

If you have refundable containers or pop cans ect, they can be put in a blue bag and put in small shed by the entrance.

We hope everyone works together to help make this new garbage policy a priority so we can show that we are a responsible facility.

Thank You for your cooperation.

Note from the Director.

Due to recent events Camp reserves the right to prevent any items that are put in rental cabins and trailers from being removed with out approval and sheduled with Management.

If you have a seasonal cabin or family camp rental and would like to remove items from the cabin, you will be expected to leave similar items upon cancelation of your seasonal lease or ensure suitable replacements are provided.

We are finding it increasingly hard to have to relocate, purchase replacements for cabins that once were fully appointed and then get cleaned out by the renter to make room for their own personal items.

If you rent a cabin for family camp and like to have your own special toaster, chair, table ect, please do not remove anything from the cabins or trailer and replace with your own until Camp management approves in writing the removal or replacement. Any item that is replaced from what was previously in the unit , shall be considered Camps property before it is placed in the unit.

Camp does not have ample storage to store items while you lease a unit and then have the unit emptied of everything before our rental season starts.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation towards this issue. Camp is operational because of the donations and countless hours put in by our volunteers. Our low rental rates are a product of those donations and volunteers. Funding for new microwaves, chairs, tables and small appliances can have a very high cost to our operation and will take away from improvements in other areas.

Any questions please reach out via email to [email protected] attention Executive Director and we can help you clairify.

God Bless and have a amazing long weekend.

Hello friends

If there are any of our campers, seasonals or friends who might have some time on this long weekend to help with a little bit of cleaning we could use some help.

We have a wedding booked for camp early June and our student workers dont get hired fully until end of June.

We have some cleaning to be done in Laurie Price building, some cabins as well as our RV units.

Sleeping quarters are available for you if you need it.
Please reach out to Steve Williams if you are available.

As a starting point to getting a push towards the John London Retreat Center we wanted to put out a conceptual drawing of what direction we are looking to head. These are not final and should only be looked at as a concept to be able to get pricing, permits ect.

We would like to thank Dockside in Fallriver for their help in providing a first draft on what it could look like so others will see the vision.

We currently have raised $38,000 towards this project and will likely need close to $350,000 to make it a reality. We are surely praying that some donars will step up and make it a reality for us and the London Family so we will get to see Johns smile when its opened in the future.

If your aware of any grants or opportunities for funding partners feel free to reach out. And Share ahare share the concept and idea. You never know who you will attrack attention from when it gets seen by businesses looking to help a Camp like ours. This building would be a game changer for our ability to be accessible year round.
