Life’s Beautiful Journeys is a ceremony service based in Dorchester / London, Ontario, specializing in personalized weddings and celebrations of life.

The focus is on creating ceremonies that feel real, grounded and meaningful. I'm Wendy Spence, founder of Life's Beautiful Journeys. My life's purpose is to help others in a kind, caring, compassionate manner. Using presentation and writing skills gained through my former careers as a radio announcer and editor-reporter, I will thoughtfully craft and deliver a meaningful, memorable ceremony for yo

u. I look forward to helping you and your loved ones celebrate and honour every stage of life during any kind of celebration during life's journey. I'm currently taking an end-of-life doula course to help make that transition as comfortable and beautiful as possible. It is an incredible honour for me to hold space for you and your loved ones throughout the continuum of life whether you're seeking celebration or memorializing the completion of life's journey. I'm an ordained minister registered with the province of Ontario as a wedding officiant. My approach is spiritual, non-traditional. I celebrate inclusion and diversity and work with all individuals to help them curate a beautiful ceremony for their very special sacred event. From traditional to “outside the box”, there's almost no limit to what can be co-created to make this very special time magical and memorable. Weddings

Free phone or virtual consultation – in person if you prefer if you live in Dorchester. Short and Sweet Ceremony - perfect for destination weddings or when a friend or family member officiates your ceremony - starting at $275 (No HST)

Sweet & Simple Ceremony/Commitment Ceremony - Choose from one of three ceremony content packages - $375 (No HST)/non-refundable retainer fee of $200

Deluxe Ceremony - Initial phone, virtual or in-person meeting following booking and payment of the $200 non-refundable retainer fee, assistance with creation of personalized ceremony, which includes your love story and a virtual or in-person meeting to finalize details and do a walk through - $450. If you want me to attend the rehearsal, it's an additional $100. Funeral/memorial service/celebration of life

$325 – includes meeting with family and those involved in the ceremony by phone, virtually or in person, depending on your preference. If you would like me to also preside over a graveside service as well as a funeral home service (or other location), there is an additional fee of $50.

It was such a joy to marry these sweet souls at Quiet Earth over the weekend. Although Mother Nature has been feisty lately, the ceremony was held outdoors. It truly reflected who Emily and Dermott are as a couple - caring, kind, creative and fun. The deep love and respect they share was evident in every moment and their vows were so beautiful and heartfelt. I was so honoured to be part of their special day. Lots of love as you begin your journey as a married couple. ❤

The weather was perfect for Emma and Leo's beautiful wedding ceremony in Dorchester. The natural setting was such a picturesque backdrop. Word must have gotten around about the extra special event because some canoers were making their way down the river when the ceremony was about to begin. Those darn wedding crashers! LOL The flower girls were adorable walking down the aisle with their bubble blowers and the bride and groom did an amazing job reading their heartfelt vows. It was an honour and a pleasure being part of their special day. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Sulubani. I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness!

Congratulations to Ashley and Cordell! It was a joy to marry this sweet couple in front of family and friends on Saturday. The day was perfect - with a fun and relaxed vibe. So much thought and care was put into every aspect of the celebration. It reflected who they are to a "T" with personal touches everywhere, including lovingly curated signature cocktails to include their three cats in their special day, as well as love notes from Ashley's students. This lovely, natural space in the London area is available for bookings for beautiful intimate legal or symbolic wedding ceremonies for up to 10 people (couple included) for the warmer months (June through the end of September) for this year and next year on weekday evenings or weekends. Ceremony prices: Brief Elopement/providing legal proceedings for a friend officiating: from $300 (no tax), Sweet and Simple (choice of three beautiful pre-written scripts): $400 (no tax), Deluxe (fully personalized/includes your love story): $475 (no tax). The ceremony format for all options is spiritual, non-traditional. You can simply enjoy the natural setting as is, decorate it yourself or it can be decorated for you for an extra charge of $25 using your decor or mine (see photos). All ceremony packages include officiant fees with legal paperwork filing where applicable, ceremony music played on a bluetooth speaker (if desired), chairs with white seat covers and a signing table for the licence and marriage registry, as well as transportation to the ceremony site in our unique yellow "jalopy". You're welcome to bring supplies for a non-alcoholic toast, cake cutting or light refreshments to enjoy afterwards. A table will be provided. In the event of rain, a waterproof tent is available ($25 or included in the decorating fee if that option is selected). If the weather necessitates more coverage, we can host your ceremony indoors. Kory and I felt she was a true mirror for the intentional, authentic atmosphere we wanted to create under her gorgeous willow tree. Her property in Dorchester is a natural sanctuary - vast and wild, yet perfectly suited for an intimate, nature-focused wedding. The way the energy flows through the land made it the most perfect place I could have ever imagined for our vows.

I also have to mention her husband, Ryan, who is the other half of this incredible team. He keeps the property in pristine condition; his dedication to the grounds is evident in every corner of the land. Ryan ensured every logistical detail ran smoothly, from managing the property to personally helping me get from the house to the ceremony site. Together, Wendy and Ryan made our dream wedding a reality. I am immensely grateful for their expertise, their kindness, friendship, and the way they made our day so unforgettable."

I truly believe my journey to becoming a wedding officiant began almost 25 years ago when my soulmate and I were married in this idyllic natural setting. It was a celestial theme. I designed the wedding invitations and wrote most of the ceremony. It was sweet and simple, yet beautiful and heartfelt. Little did I know that I was training to become part of other love stories. Fast forward 23 years. I became a licensed officiant and began creating Life's Beautiful Journeys. After hosting a friend's wedding last summer I was inspired to offer this beautiful space for intimate elopement-style and micro wedding ceremonies.
